Frederick J. Woodward, 76, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at Penn State Health, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Derry Twp.
He retired as an Administrative Officer for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Labor and Industry, Harrisburg and was a member of the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, Harrisburg. Born on September 11, 1939 in Ashland, he was the son of the late John W. and Elizabeth (Rosti) Woodward. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John, and a sister, Elizabeth Vaughn.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Ann J. Burke Woodward; two daughters, Pamela W. Weakland (David) of Camp Hill, and Barbara W. Warcola of Gordon; four brothers, William of Camp Hill, Joseph of Ashland, David of Catawissa and Francis of Ashland; three sisters, Mary Kelly of Pottsville, Ann Marie Kelly of Ashland, and Georgine Maurer of Ashland; eight grandchildren, Cy, Alex, Jared, Cole and Drew Weakland, and Adam, Renae and Erin Warcola; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM on Friday at the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick 212 State Street, Harrisburg with the Rev. Joshua Brommer as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM on Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
