G. David Kindig

G. David Kindig, 77, of Grantville died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He was a retired salesman. He was inducted into the PA Sports Hall of Fame in May of 1992. He was a member of Perseverance Lodge No. 21, F&AM, Harrisburg, Zembo Shrine and its Shepherds Unit, The Hershey Shrine Club, Lancaster County Shrine Club, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Harrisburg Forest 43, Pilgrim Commandery No. 11, Knights Templar. He was President of American Legion of Dauphin County for thirty-five years and started the Senior Teener Program serving as League President for over 20 years in Dauphin County.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Deanne Kitzmiller Kindig; two sons, Gregory David Kindig of Linglestown, Sean M. Kindig of Norristown; a daughter, Lisa Kindig Bashore of Palm Harbor, FL and four grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Matthew Kindig and Scott Bashore;
Visitation will be held at 5:30pm Wednesday followed by a memorial service at 6:30 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
