Gabriel R. Conte, Jr.

Gabriel R. Conte, Jr., 88, of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired draftsman for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Steelton Plant and a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, VFW Post 7415 and American Legion Post 143, all of New Cumberland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Sam and a sister Helen Linardi.
Gabe is survived by his wife of more than 59 years, M. Jane Beatty Conte; a son Robert A. of Harrisburg; a daughter Patricia A. Vaughn of New Cumberland; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in his church. Viewings will be Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm and Saturday from noon to 1 pm in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
