Gail (Mummert) Gastrock

Gail (Mummert) Gastrock passed away to her eternal home on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Gail was born November 21, 1939, the daughter of Russell and Abigail Mummert (both) deceased together with a brother, Jack who is deceased and a brother Charles, who resides at Selinsgrove Center in PA. Gail was the wife of Terry Gastrock and they were happily married for 64 years.

She graduated from the former William Penn High School, Class of 1957. She taught 1st grade Sunday school for 10 years at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, PA. She was employed at S&H Pontiac and the Attorney General’s Office. She and Terry both retired in 1995 and moved to Punta Gorda, FL for 14 years. They moved back to Mechanicsburg, PA in 2010.

Besides being survived by her husband, Terry, she is survived by her daughter, Karen, and her husband Dave Rupnik of Mechanicsburg, PA, and her son, Keith, and his wife Michelle Gastrock of Mechanicsville, VA. She is survived by four grandchildren, Matt Rupnik and his wife Danielle of NJ, Nicole Rupnik of Woodland, CA, Kaitlin (Gastrock) Sutherland of VA and Ben Gastrock and his wife Kierstan and great grand-daughter Oakleigh, of VA.

There will be a visitation at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA on April 28, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a memorial service at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Selinsgrove Center, 1000 Route 522, North Drive CF2, Selinsgrove, PA 17870 in honor of her brother, Charles Mummert.
