Garry G. Amsbaugh

Garry G. Amsbaugh, Sr., 80, of York Haven died Monday, February 1, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

A Handyman, he was the retired owner/operator of Garry’s Home Improvements. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, and helping everyone as Mr. Fixit.

He was born February 9, 1940 in Newberry Twp. to the late Clair and Margaret (Hinkle) Amsbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia LaMent.

He is survived by his wife Sharon R. (Winteler) Amsbaugh; sisters, Henrietta Slaseman of York Haven, Elizabeth Sanger of Lewisberry, and Patricia Harbold of Newberry Twp.; daughters, Debra Rebinski (spouse Henry) of Mechanicsburg; Lori McGarvey (spouse Dennis) of Newberry Twp., a son, Garry G. Amsbaugh, Jr., son-in-law, Charles LaMent of Dudley; four grandchildren, Aimee, Shawna, Joseph, Zachary; and eight great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 10am to 11am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland followed by private services and burial in Rolling Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
