Gary Lee Gettys

Gary Lee Gettys, 75, of New Cumberland died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

He was a retired Cable Technician with Commonwealth Telephone Co where he worked for thirty-seven years. Prior to that he worked for Henkels and McCoy. As an avid golfer, he worked at Valley Green Golf Course after retirement to help fund his passion. He also enjoyed his cabin in the mountains, hunting, horses, and loved time with his family.

He was born October 23, 1941 in Carlisle to the late Clair E. and Reba E. (Griest) Gettys.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn K. (Hain) Gettys; children, Bryan Lee Gettys (Jeanna) of Etters, Ann E. McCauslin (Mark) of New Cumberland, and Jeffrey R. Gettys (Tammy) of Carlisle; sister, Shirley Fletcher of Hummelstown; ten grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Morgan, Olivia, Taylor, Dalton, Reaghan, Dylan, Trevor, and Gavin; great-granddaughter, Ava; and his dog Dutchie.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2pm Friday July 28th at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22nd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
