Genevieve E. Hamsher

Genevieve E. Hamsher, 93, of New Cumberland passed away on January 29, 2025 at The Gardens of West Shore.

She was born in Fairview Twp., York Co., PA the daughter of the late Nile L. Reed, Sr., and Alice Zeigler Reed.

She was previously employed by Intercon Components.

She is survived by her son, Dennis E. Hamsher (Barbara) of Etters; daughter-in-law, Mary Hamsher; grandchildren, Sarah Hamsher (Mike), Jeremy Hamsher (Meagan) Jennifer Schreiner (Brian), Katilyn Winebrenner (Kyle) and three great-grandchildren, Reyna, Bryce, and Brynna.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wilbur A. Hamsher, Jr.; brothers, Merlin Reed and Nile Reed, Jr.; and sisters, Dorothy Morris, Arlene Engle, Lois Knudsen, and Shirley Ashenfelder; and great-grandson, Matthias. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 198 Old York Rd., New Cumberland.
