George W. Bayler

George W. Bayler, 92, died Friday February 21, 2025, at the Church of God home in Carlisle.

George was a 1950 graduate of the former New Cumberland High School where he participated in several sports. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean War Era who went on to become a printer serving his career at The Patriot News. George was a member of Christ Community Church, Camp Hill, a dedicated and loved family man, and an avid Penn State Football fan. He was a devoted supporter of the local chapter of The Huntington's Disease Foundation.

He was born July 23, 1932, in New Cumberland to the late Robert and Beulah Bayler. He was the widower of Daryl Bayler, was later married to Joyce Bayler, and then widowed by Sally Bayler. He was preceded in death by his son, George W. Bayler, Jr. and daughter, Sharon Blessley.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele R. Nissel (Richard) of New Cumberland; son-in-law, Bo Blessley, granddaughters, Megan Hedenberg (Eric) and Shannon Kelly (Kasey); and great-grandchildren, Mae, Klayton, Connor, Emmalee, and Lily.

Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday, February 27th at Rolling Green Cemetery.
