Gerald E. Smith, Jr.

Gerald E. “Smitty” Smith, Jr. 57, of Camp Hill died Monday, March 22, 2021 at Pinnacle UPMC Hospital, West Shore.

He was a Yard Jockey for YRC Worldwide. He attended Cumberland Perry Vocational Technical School and was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. He was a member of American Legion Post 974, Fairview Twp. and VFW Post 7530, Lower Allen Twp. He enjoyed the family cabin in Perry County and Tuckahoe Acres, DE; as well as fishing, boating, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a man of great presence. When he was in the room, everyone knew it.

He was born April 15, 1963 in Mechanicsburg to the late Gerald E. Smith and Linda L. (Myers) Zentz.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna I. (Waddish) Smith; daughter, Candice L. Negley (Joshua) of Camp Hill; son, Dalton J. Smith of Camp Hill; sister, Elizabeth Lopez of Colorado; and granddaughters, Laila and Emilia Negley.

Respecting Gerald’s wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
