Gerald Stephen Fantasky

Gerald Stephen Fantasky, 85, of Etters, Passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2016 in his residence.

He was a retired Auditor with the U.S. Defense Contract Audit Agency, York office and a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Jerry was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Stephen and Veronica (Solinsky) Fantasky.

Jerry was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and the Harrisburg Civil War Roundtable. He was an avid history buff, enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and swimming at the West Shore YMCA. He loved traveling the world and seeking warmer climates over the winter months with his wife Vincy. Jerry was very proud and excited when hearing of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than sixty-two years, Vincenta L. “Vincy” (Griggs) Fantasky; his children, Gerald S. Fantasky, Jr. (Leticia) of Fort Worth, TX, Gary J. Fantasky of Littleton, CO, Beth Hyland (Bob) of Newark, DE and SuzAnne Weisenbloom (Michael) of Westford, MA; and eight grandchildren, Joseph, Kevin, Justin, Lauren, Kristen, Brian, Julie and Kelly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA 17070. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Jerry’s name to PA Wounded Warriors, Inc. 1117 Country Club Rd. Camp Hill, PA 17011.
