Geraldine E. Thornton

Geraldine E. Thornton, 93, of Clarion, formerly of New Cumberland died Saturday, October 08, 2022 at Highland Oaks at Water Run.

She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland.

She was born January 26, 1929 in Mechanicsburg to the late Ralph and Katherine (Martin) Zimmerman. She was the widow of Lawrence “Cush” E. Thornton and also preceded in death by her siblings Martha Stetler, Betty Whitcomb, Richard Zimmerman, and Shirley Fry.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie L. Hale (Edward) of Strattanville; sisters, Dolores Stoner, Nancy Jumper, and Linda McClintock all of Mechanicsburg; sister-in-law, Barbara Zimmerman of Enola; grandchildren, Tammy Kreisle (Jason) and Eric Hale (Andrea) ; and great-grandchildren Zachary Hale, Kiersten Hays, and Sara Kreisle.

Visitation will be from 10am until funeral services at 11am Friday, October 14 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
