Gizella (Seech) Snyder

Gizella (Seech) Snyder, 94, formerly of Catasauqua, Pa. passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill, Pa.

She graduated from high school in Philippi, WV. Gizella was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Whitehall, Pa.  She enjoyed bowling, Polka music and dancing, playing the slot machines and playing the lottery.  She followed the Phillies, watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, enjoyed doing the crossword puzzle section of the newspaper and kept up on life in Philippi, WV where she grew up. Gizella also enjoyed walking and hiking with her husband Richard.  Most of all she loved her husband of 72 years and spending time with her family.

Gizella was born in Brownton, WV, the daughter of the late Gabor and Julia (Baranyi) Seech.  She was preceded in death by:  Sisters: Sarah Ravis and infant twins and Brothers:  Joseph Bognar, Paul Seech, and Ernest Seech

She is survived by her husband of more than 72 years, Richard F. Snyder; children, Judith B. Balliet (Kenneth) Turbotville, Glenn R. Snyder (Diana) Mechanicsburg, Dale R. Snyder (Jayne) Crossville, TN and Ramona L. Sweeney (Easton); siblings, Louis Seech (West Virginia) and Ethel Palazzini (Massachusetts); nine grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Gizella’s wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Gizella’s memory to Residential Hospice Health Care Group.
