Gordon V. Hamilton, 78, of Camp Hill died Monday, January 8, 2017 at Messiah Lifeways, Upper Allen Twp.
He retired as Outreach Manager from the Commonwealth of PA Dept. of Unclaimed Property. A Presbyterian, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson College, Rutherford, NJ and was a past member of West Shore Country Club. He was happiest working in his yard and most recently sitting outside enjoying the environment.
He was born June 10, 1939 in Huntington, Long Island to the late Paul and Pauline (Vrooman) Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife Meryl (Farnham) Hamilton; two daughters, Heather R. Fulton (David) of Frederick, MD and Heidi M. Bailey (Danny) of Honey Brook; a brother, William L. of Damiriscotta, ME; six grandchildren, Carlyn, Mark, and Samantha Fulton and Jacob, Jaclyn (Nudy) and Addison Bailey; and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Nick.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm Friday at Messiah Village Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Messiah Lifeways Benevolence Fund, 100 Mt. Allen Drive, PO Box 2015, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
