Grace M. Heidingsfelder

Grace M. (Gennett) Heidingsfelder, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 surrounded by her family and close friends praying at her side.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend whose door was always open and was there to lend an ear. Grace was famous for her "feasts" and loved to be surrounded by family and friends. Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Rose L. (Speranza) Gennett.
Grace married her late husband, Robert Heidingsfelder in 1955 and lived in Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio before settling in New Cumberland. She was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Grace was retired from the former King’s Department Store, Harrisburg. She also worked at Berg Electronics, New Cumberland Army Depot, Ted’s Snack Bar, and NAVSUP-DDSP in support of Desert Storm. Her life portrayed her selflessness and generosity.
She leaves behind children, Constance H. Gaumer (Jim), Robert W. “Bo” Heidingsfelder Jr. (Ann-Marie), Damian R. Heidingsfelder (Sandra), Andrew G. Heidingsfelder (Christin) and Jim B. Mixell (Angela). She was “Granny” to her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. She has three sisters, Lillian Crusco, Carolyn Roberts, Angela Krens and a brother Michael Gennett, in addition to many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Phyllis Smith and Loretta Burneff.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 PM on Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland with the Rev. Michael McFadden as Celebrant. Burial will be at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be held 12:30 – 1:30 PM on Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
