Harold E. "Whitey" Hahn, 71, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at home.
He retired as an employee of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, Harrisburg; a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War; a 1963 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School; a HAM Radio Operator (K3RNK); a member of Frackville Lodge #737, F&AM, Frackville; an avid student of History, particularly WWII, and Whitey enjoyed gardening and landscaping his yard. Born in Ashland on April 10, 1945, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Irvin) Hahn and was also preceded in death by four brothers, James, Joseph, Graham and William
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Sally A. Foultz Hahn; a daughter and her husband, Amy and Aaron Saellam; a son, U.S Army 1LT Gregory C. Hahn and his wife, Beth; a sister, Alice Swartz of Ringtown; six grandchildren, Kristina, Stephanie, Ashley, Wesley, Adam and Brady; a great granddaughter, Alaina; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10 -11 AM Monday at the Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, followed immediately at 11 AM by a memorial service officiated by Pastor Lee Hyman. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
