Harry Joseph Fromell

June 25, 1928 — July 23, 2019

Harry Joseph Fromell, 91, resident of the Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill, PA, and formerly of Altoona, PA, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Encompass Health, Mechanicsburg.

He retired as an electrical engineer for Sylvania Electronics, Emporium and Altoona; a graduate of La Salle Institute and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, both of Troy, NY; attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; former tax preparer volunteer for seniors; a catechism teacher at his former church in Emporium; loved to bowl, golf, go on cruises and fish at the lake house. Born in Colonie, NY, on June 25, 1928, he was the son of the late Harry H. and Anna (Barno) Fromell. Harry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl A. Fromell.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Margaret (Davis) Fromell; two sons and their wives, David J. and Laurie T. Fromell of Lemoyne, and Gregg J. Fromell and Beth Rezet of Havertown; a daughter, Kathy J. Fromell of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, Jamie and Karen Nesbitt, Maddie and Nick Fromell, Hope Soulier; a great grandson, Charles Gittleman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM Friday, July 26, in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Samuel Dubois as celebrant. Private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. There will not be a public viewing or visitation.
