Helen M. Balkovic, 89, formerly of New Cumberland, died Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Chapel Pointe At Carlisle.
She was a retired employee of the Hershey Creamery Company, Harrisburg; a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, and a past president and member of its Little Flower Club; a past member of the Golden Age Club and the New Cumberland Olde Towne Assn.
Born on November 29th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anastasia (Smochko) Paronish. She was the widow of John C. Balkovic.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth J. of St. Petersburg, FL, and James R. (Linda) of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Charlotte Mentzer (Robert) of Dillsburg and Eileen Arnold of Dillsburg; a brother, William Paronish of Spangler; two sisters, Ann Madachick of Cleveland, OH, and Susan Finney of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 on Tuesday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland with the Rev. S. T. Antony Raja as Celebrant. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
