Henry Gensler Conrad

Henry Gensler Conrad, 95, formerly of Hershey, died Sunday, November 1st, 2015, at ManorCare Elizabethtown.
He retired as a professional driver for the former Railway Express, Harrisburg. Mr. Conrad was a WWll Army veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He was also a member of American Legion Post 998, Lawnton. Mr. Conrad enjoyed bowling, golf and driving the local roads of central PA. Born on July 6th, 1920 in Vandergrift, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Alice Conrad. He was also the widower of Helen M. (Sproul) Conrad and Marian J. (Steffee) Conrad, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca S. Conrad.
Surviving are a son, Roger A. Conrad of Harrisburg; three step-sons, Thomas C. Newton of Wilmington, NC, Barry L. Newton of York and Jeffrey N. Newton of Raleigh, NC; a stepdaughter, Barbara A. Pyle of Denver; nine grandchildren: one great grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
