Henry 'Harry' Arthur Arnold, Jr.

November 5, 1939 — December 16, 2021

Henry ‘Harry’ Arthur Arnold Jr., 82, from Long Beach Island, NJ entered peacefully to eternal life on December 16, 2021 at UPMC West Shore, Mechanicsburg.

He was born November 5, 1939 in Darby, PA and was the oldest child of eight to the late Harry Arthur and Mary E. (McAneny) Arnold. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sister Marybeth Arnold.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Dolores H. (Moser) Arnold; sons, Christopher R. Arnold (Carmella Colban) of Mechanicsburg and Kevin J. Arnold, (Glenda) of Camp Hill; siblings, Patricia Hundt, Gerald, Regina Katkowski, Laurence, James, and Terence; and grandchildren, Alexander, Ava, and Avery.

He was raised in Havertown, PA and was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, class of 1957 and attended Villanova University. He was an active Army Reservist from 1962 to 1968 trained in Infantry. He was an Executive Sales Representative for Carboline Company (RPM, Inc.) for over 37 years and recipient of the company’s first Spirit Award named in his honor. He raised his family in Collegeville, PA and was a member of St. Eleanor’s Parish. As a sports enthusiast and mentor, he volunteered his time as a coach for St. Eleanor’s CYO basketball, Vice President of Lower Perk Little League, and Head Baseball coach for numerous Collegeville Legion teams and Head Baseball Coach for Perkiomen Valley JV Baseball Team.

Harry also was a member of the Perkiomen Valley Optimist Club. He was an avid golfer, boater, and enjoyed watching his Philadelphia sports teams, especially Villanova Basketball. In retirement Harry enjoyed his summers at his residence on Long Beach Island, NJ and winters in Florida reading on the beach.

He was a proud father, grandfather, and loving husband and patriarch of a large Arnold family. He truly will be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30am Saturday, January 8th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Private committal will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.

A Celebration of Harry’s life will be held in the summer in Long Beach Island, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Vickie’s Angel Foundation, 511 Bridge St., New Cumberland, PA 17070

To protect children and the elderly, masks are required at the funeral home.
