Howard J. “Dave” Lindsay, 91, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Newville, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle with his loving family at his side.
He was the retired owner/operator of Lindsay’s Service Station, Camp Hill and prior to that was a dispatcher for Texaco Corporation, Mechanicsburg.
Dave was Past Master of Big Spring Lodge # 361, F&AM, Newville, enjoyed flying airplanes with his friends and thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent with his breakfast club buddies.
He was born in Newville, the son of the late George and Louella (Burkhart) Lindsay.
Dave was the widow of Joyce Marie (Stitt) Lindsay and is survived by his children, Barry L. Lindsay and wife Karyle of Camp Hill, Billy E. Lindsay and wife Connie of Camp Hill, Bradley H. Lindsay of New Cumberland and Danita M. Barron and husband Richard of Mechanicsburg; his companion of more than 20 years, Vonnie Carpenter; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Dave’s memory to Shriners’ Hospital for Children, c/o Zembo Shrine, 2801 N. Third Street Harrisburg, PA 17110. .
