Howard Z. Fisher, 79, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Manor Care, Camp Hill.
He retired as an engineer with AMP, Inc., Harrisburg, and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Born on July 5th, 1934, in McVeytown, he was the son of the late George D. Fisher and Bertha (Borhman) Sarver. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Sarver, a brother, George Fisher, a sister, Mae Varner and was the widower of Jan E. (Wagner) Fisher.
Surviving are his wife, Julia (Zaremba) Fisher; two sons, Kii Z. Fisher (Kim) of Shamokin Dam, Zane R. Fisher of Harrisburg; two daughters, Joni R. Starr (John) of Lancaster, Terri S. Heimbach (Tom) of Selinsgrove; four stepsons, Steve Wilbert (Barb) of Port Treverton, Stephen M. Jeremias (Brenda) of Montclair, NJ, Anthony E. Jeremias (Tracy) of Harleysville, Douglas J. Jeremias (Leigh) of Denver, CO; two step daughters, Sheri L. Forry (John) of Dauphin and Susan J. McMinn (Steve) of Lancaster; 21 grandchildren; a great grandson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland with the Rev. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
