Ira M. Hoffman, Jr., 82, of New Cumberland died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, a Service of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.
A Korean War Navy Veteran he was a retired Program Manager from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lemoyne; West Shore Lions Club, Riverview Golf Club; and NARFE Chapter 1465.
He was born March 17, 1931 in Hershey to the late Ira M. and Bertha (Bahner) Hoffman.
He is survived by his wife Alice M. (Page) Hoffman; a son, Ira M. Hoffman, III (Linda) of Solebury Twp.; two brothers, William of Palmyra and Herbert of Jonestown; six sisters, Margaret Banks of Yardley, Mabel Martz of Palmyra, Doris Geesaman of Palmyra, Nancy Lore of Lebanon, Emily Kovac of Bridgewater, NJ, and Linda Lutz of Lebanon; many nieces and nephews; and a grandson, Brian I. Hoffman of Chicago, IL.
Visitation will be held at 1pm followed by memorial services at 2pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. An additional visitation will be held at 10am Saturday, November 30th followed by memorial services at 11am at St. John's United Methodist Church, Ivyland, PA.
