Jack E. Lange, 96, of Harleysville, PA and formerly of Shiremanstown died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, May 23, 2019. He was born in Lake Ariel, PA February 18, 1923, attended Lake Ariel High School, and graduated from Penn State University. Jack proudly served during WWII as a B24 and B29 pilot. His entire professional career was spent with Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. working out of the Harrisburg. Office. He enjoyed playing golf and poker with his friends. Jack was an avid Penn State football fan and had season tickets for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Catherine Gallagher Lange, his daughter Patrice O’Donnell Kyle, twin brother Oscar Lange, brother William Lange and sister Betty Lange Ammerman. Jack is survived by his daughter Rosemary Lang Hill (Jeffrey) of Telford, PA; his son Paul R. Lange (Deborah) of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Karin and Judith Hill, Jack and Dennis Lange, Joseph, Colleen and Kevin O’Donnell and five great-grandchildren, Mary Lou Clark, James, and Jude McLauchlan, and Camden and Mallory Lange.
A viewing will be held at 1pm followed by funeral services at 2pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to The First Tee, 425 South Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, FL 32092
