Jaclyn Weltmer Adkins, 85, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 in Manor Care Camp Hill.
She was a retired Business Manager with Visiting Nurse Association, Harrisburg with more than 23 years of service and in retirement, continued her service as a volunteer for VNA Flu Shot clinics for many years. She was a member of Shiremanstown First Church of God where she served as Administrative Council Recording Secretary for many years. She was also a season ticket holder and avid fan of the Hershey Bears for 39 years.
Jaclyn was born in Lemoyne to the late Carl E. and Leona M. (Rader) Weltmer, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Lynda A. Hempt of New Cumberland and Donald Bret Adkins and wife Candi of New Cumberland; siblings, Carl E. “Toad” Weltmer, Jr. and wife Janet of Etters, Barry Weltmer and wife Joanne of Cresco, PA, Arthur Weltmer and wife Jackie of Fairview Twp. and Michael Weltmer and wife Kathy of Middletown; five grandchildren, David James and wife Amy, Chad James, Bryon James, James Hirt and Bret C. Adkins; fourteen great grandchildren; and a great great grandson.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to both Residential Hospice and the staff of Manor Care for their genuine care, concern and compassion shown to Jaclyn.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. A public committal service will be held at 2:15 pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. with the Rev. Floyd R. Carlen, Jr., her pastor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Jaclyn’s memory be made to Shiremanstown First Church of God, 35 S. Locust St. Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
