Jacob Ronald Fischer, 80, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 with his daughters by his side and is now reunited with his loving wife Mary in Heaven.
He was a retired sales representative for Kaiser Aluminum, New Castle, DE and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill and loved fishing, traveling and spending as much time as possible with his daughters and granddaughters.
Jacob was born in Philadelphia to the late Jacob A. and Marie (Theil) Fischer.
He was the widower of Mary Louise (Hopkins) Fischer and is survived by his daughters, Mary Ellen Fischer Hettinger of Wormleysburg and Jacqueline M. Fischer of Mechanicsburg; and three granddaughters, Jessica, Rachel and Olivia.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in his church with the Rev. John H. Brock, his pastor officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
