Jacob W. Blust

Jacob W. Blust, 81, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, East Pennsboro Twp.

He was a retired pressman with the former Hargro Company, Harrisburg and later, Fry Communications, Mechanicsburg. Jacob was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and enjoyed trips to the beach with family, dirt track racing, NASCAR, NFL football and socializing with his friends, often over a meal at the former Old Country Buffet.

Jacob was devoted to his family and over the last several years, was his wife, Barbara’s primary care giver. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Sue, Carol and Sally for all of their loving care, time and talents given to Barbara.

Jacob was born in Harrisburg, the son of the late Victor and Emma (Fink) Blust. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael A. Blust.

He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Barbara A. (Johnson) Blust; and daughters, Terrie Shuey and husband Todd of Mechanicsburg and Jennifer Santarelli and husband Sean of Marysville.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Stone Church) Cemetery, Enola.
