James E. Finnen

December 17, 1923 — August 18, 2014

James E. Finnen, 90, of New Cumberland, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He graduated from the former Catholic High School, Harrisburg. A WWII Army Veteran, he was a Master Sergeant having served with the 271st Combat Communications Squadron of the Air National Guard. He was a retired civil servant with the Air Force based at Fort Indiantown Gap. He later also retired from the former CCNB Bank. He was a member of Saturday Morning Breakfast Club and Riverview Golf Club. He enjoyed making toys in his woodshop and sharing them with delighted children.
He was born December 17, 1923 in Penbrook to the late Harry E. and Emma Finnen. He was also predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Betty E. Finnen.
He is survived by his son, James E., Jr. of Harrisburg; his daughter, Peggy Belcastro (Joseph) of New Cumberland; and two grandchildren, Clifford R. Stevens (Veruschka) of Philadelphia and Dustin James Malesich (Julia James) of Harrisburg.
A private celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
