James E. "Jim" Sadler

March 18, 1962 — April 20, 2021

James E. Sadler, 59, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill. He was born on March 18, 1962 to the late Ethel M. (Coshun) Sadler and Luther G. Sadler, Jr.

Jim graduated from Mechanicsburg High School (Class of 1980), and he continued to work and reside in Central PA throughout his life. He had a lifelong passion for antiques, whether it was restoring, selling or just perusing at different venues or online. For many years he owned and operated S&S Antiques and Collectibles; he took great pride in restoring and refinishing older pieces that had seen better days. Jim was set to attend Penn State University, but went in a different direction after high school graduation. This did, however, pave the way to him being a loyal and die-hard Penn State sports fan. If Penn State wasn’t playing, you could almost guarantee the TV would be tuned to Fox News. His love for politics intertwined with his interest in history, leaving his family with a very knowledgeable and interesting patriarch.

Surviving Jim are his children, Timothy Sadler (Courtney) of NY and Amber Sadler of Mechanicsburg; a step-daughter, Christen Wells (Andrew) of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Reily, Audrina, Abby and Aiden; and his former wife, Barbara (Sadler) Beare. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Tristen Funk (decd. 2019).

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Jim’s name to: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Central PA, PO Box 22466 New York, NY, 10087-2466.
