James E. Nittinger, 76, of Camp Hill died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired machinist from Conrail in Enola. A member of St. Joeseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. he loved his wife and family and looked for goodness in all aspects of life. His faith and family were his strength.
He was born July 24, 1939 in Barton, NY to the late Charles R. and Catherine M. (Dincher) Nittinger. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Terry L. Geib and sister, Mary Morningstar.
He is survived by his wife Judy; four daughters, Teresa Geib of Harrisburg, Christine Bennett (Michael) of Lewisberry, Lisa Ackley (William) of Mount Holly Springs, and Stephanie Nittinger of Camp Hill; a son, David Charles Nittinger (Christina) of Middletown; three brothers, Charles and Jack of Sayre and Richard of Moise, MT; two sisters, Barbara Moore of Sayre and Joan Dugan of Williamsburg, VA; eight grandchildren, Tony, Jon, Lexi, Michael, Nicholas, Katelyn, Joshua, and Dalton; and a great-grandson, Donovan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday at St. Joseph Parish, Mechanicsburg. There will be no viewing or visitation. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E Simpson St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
