James Francis Bailey

James (Jim) Francis Bailey, 84, of Etters, previously of Williamsport, Mechanicsburg, and Carlisle died Sunday, November 10, 2019 at The Gardens of West Shore.

Jim was born July 25, 1935 in Williamsport to the late William Y. and Mary E. (Connolly) Bailey.

A Marine Corps Veteran, Jim was also a retired salesman and sales/finance manager from various car dealerships and a former employee of Riverview Golf Club. He was a 1958 graduate of Lycoming College, Williamsport, and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was a member of St. Theresa Parish in New Cumberland. Jim enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time on the golf course.

He is survived by his wife, Tana Susan (Best) Bailey; a son, Michael J. Bailey (Diane) of Skillman, NJ; daughter, Holly Anne Olson (Eric) of Des Moines, IA; two step-daughters, Kimberly L. Schell (Kyle) of Lewisberry and Debora M. Fahnestock (Lamar) of Elizabethtown; and eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Troy, Lamar Jr., Calvin, Lucy, Madelyn, Nadina, and Scarlet.

Viewing will be from 9 to 10am Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Committal services will be held at 2:30pm at the Mt. Carmel section of Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
