James "Jim" R. Martin

James “Jim” R. Martin, 50, of New Cumberland, died Sunday, August 22, 2021, at his home.

Born April 17, 1971, in Camp Hill, he was the son of John V. and Dolores J. Martin of Carlisle.

He was a Senior Financial Services Associate for The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, Harrisburg. Jim grew up in Mechanicsburg and met lifelong friends, who have always been a big part of Jim’s life. He enjoyed spending his time on a beach listening to the waves and traveling to new places with his son. His advice and wisdom will be remembered and cherished fondly by his son. In times of need Jim could always find refuge in the comforting words of his sister. He cherished and held closely the traditions that his parents have passed on to him. Jim left an impression on everybody from friends to strangers and will be missed by all who knew him well.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Nathan D. Martin of Nashville, TN, and sister, Dianne L. Martin of New Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 30th at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
