James L. Andrick, 90, of New Cumberland, died October 24, 2018 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg. Son of the late Freddie and Ruth (Somerville) Andrick, he was born in Palestine, WV on April 23, 1928.
Upon graduation from West Virginia University, Jim joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. In the private sector, he was a sales representative for, and retired from, Eli Lilly and Co., Indianapolis, IN. He was a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, Wirt Lodge #82, F.&A.M., WV, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine, and American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland.
Surviving are his wife, Gene E. (Payne) Andrick; his children, David W. Andrick (wife, Penny) of Mt. Joy, and Lisa C. Markel (husband, Keith), of Camp Hill; and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Grant, Sarah and Allison. Preceding him in death are a brother and sister, Preston Andrick and Lucy Sullivan.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. A viewing will take place prior to services, from 10-11AM at the church. Immediately following services, a burial will take place at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
