James Michael Bowman

James Michael Bowman, 62, of Boca Raton, FL, previously of Middletown, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Delray Medical Center.
He was a server at Abe and Louie’s Restaurant. He was a graduate of Middletown High School, Lock Haven University, and received his MS in Community Counseling from Shippensburg University. He was an avid bicyclist, who did many charity rides for MS, cancer and AIDS research. In 2010, Jim rode 550 miles in seven days for ALC 9. He was a lover of dogs and the Phillies. He was lovingly know to his grandchildren as "Pop Pop" and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael A. and Emma K. Bowman. He is survived by his son, Christopher M. Bowman (Mary Frances) of Etters; grandsons, C.J., Joseph, and Stephen; brother, Robert Bowman (Diane) of Harrisburg; past wife and best friend, Connie L. Bowman of Hummelstown and many dear friends in Florida.
Visitation will be held at 9:30am Saturday, September 28th followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Holy Infant Parish, York Haven. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
