James R. Bush

James R. Bush, 67, of Newberry Township, passed away on February 14, 2020 at home. Son of the late Gordon O. Bush and Shirley Jean DeWeese nee Kinsey, he was born on July 19, 1952 in St. Louis, MO.

Upon graduation from high school, Jim joined the military, serving in the Air Force for twelve years. In the private sector, he was a truck driver for the former Watkins Motor Lines Company Inc. His passion was for raising and showing Tibetan Spaniels; he and his wife traveled the east coast and showed many dogs throughout the years. He was also a talented bowler, and at one point was very close to playing professionally. He colored and did word searches in his free time, and on Sundays he’d watch NASCAR with his son. His family and his “Tibbies” were the joys of his life; he will be missed tremendously.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deborah (Steimling) Bush; a son and his wife, Brandon Bush (Abigail) of Newberry Twp.; and family in Missouri.
