James R. "Jimmy" Wertz, Jr.

James R. “Jimmy” Wertz, Jr. 67, of Lemoyne died Monday, October 14, 2019 at his home.

He worked for Acer Paving, Mechanicsburg. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, the beach and mountains, and spending time with close friends. He was a member of The Fifth Ward Republican Club, Steelton; American Legion Post 974, New Cumberland; Lower Allen VFW Post 7530; Goldsboro Firemen’s Club; and Osceola Mills Loyal Order of the Moose.

He was born September 11, 1952 in Philipsburg to the late James R. and Dorothy A. (Erickson) Wertz, Sr.

He is survived by his sisters, Catherine L. Smith of Lemoyne and Debra A. Forker (Delbert) of Harrisburg; companion, Sandy L. Stailey of New Cumberland; and nephew, Clifton D. Forker (Aoife Toomey) of Silver Spring, MD.

A Celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at 1pm Saturday, October 19th at American Legion Post 974, New Cumberland.
