James Thomas Dougherty, Jr., 57, of North Weymouth, MA and formerly of Plymouth, MA and Schnecksville, PA, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 in South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, MA.
Jim was a Key Account Representative with EcoLab, Norwood, MA and a graduate of Council Rock High School, Bucks County, PA and Millersville University, Millersville, PA. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Weymouth, MA and a devoted and loving father who was involved with his kids, coaching softball, basketball, baseball and football. He was an avid golfer, die hard New England Patriots fan, and loved dabbling in the stock market. Jim’s unique sense of humor and “one-liners” will be missed. His serious side was evident through his love and concern for everyone’s story. He was a great listener, he loved unconditionally, and he cared. More than anything, his family meant the world to him. He was proud of his children and their accomplishments and always wanted to know what his nieces and nephews were “up to”. He shared many travels and made beautiful memories with his love, Maria.
Jim was born in Shamokin, PA to Loretta C. (Coyne) Dougherty of Camp Hill, PA and the late James Thomas Dougherty, Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his life partner Maria A. Mainini; children, Jessica L.H. Fitzgibbons (Brian) of Plymouth, MA, Lauren Marie Dougherty (Dan) of Boston, MA and James Thomas Dougherty, III of Plymouth, MA; siblings, Kathleen D. Wagner of Lewisberry, PA, Marianne D. Walsh (Jim) of Boonsboro, MD, Matthew C. Dougherty (Julie) of Camp Hill and Megan D. Dalton (Chris) of McKinney, TX; two granddaughters, Caroline and Grace; his canine companion Sparky, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews and numerous other family members and devoted friends.
