James W. Galloway, Jr.

James W. Galloway, Jr., 81, of Lewisberry, went to meet the Lord Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was a retired Claims Auditor and Adjuster for Erie Insurance Company and a Korean War Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Division. Jim attended Wyndamere Heights Evangelical Congregational Church, Lewisberry and was a charter member of the Camp Hill Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Additionally, he was a member of the Carlisle Fish & Game Assn., North American Hunting Club, the Mechanicsburg Club, and a former member of the NRA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Over the years, he has taken many big game trophies throughout the Western US and Canada.
Jim was born in Scranton to the late James W. and Ruth (Allan) Galloway, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Marian L. Houck.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Dorothy J. (Poehlman) Galloway; children, James W., III and wife Robyn (Dunkle) of Harrisburg, Sharon Altland and husband P. Daniel of Lewisberry and Barbara G. Watts and husband James E. of Etters; seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Wyndamere Heights Evangelical Congregational Church, Lewisberry, with the Rev. Tim Seiger officiating. Visitation with the family will be one half hour prior to services Saturday in the church.
