Jane E. Strohecker

Jane E. Strohecker, 84, formerly of York Haven, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Manor Care York South, York.

We hope all who knew her will remember her smile, laughter, silliness, and love for life, family and friends. She’s now at peace with no pain and has been reunited with the love of her life and other people important to her. Jane would want us all to carry on in her same spirit as she watches over us.

Jane was born in Harrisburg to the late William F. and Maude (Stoak) Foster, Sr. and was the widow of Richard Roy Strohecker to whom she was married for more than 53 years.

She is survived by her children, Kevin R. Strohecker and wife Deborah of York Haven, Kimberly W. Mentzer and husband James of Enterprise, AL and Stacy M. Kyle and husband Gregory of Mt. Wolf; three brothers, Leonard Foster of Harrisburg, Raymond Foster of Carlisle and Robert Foster of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A celebration of Jane's life will take place on October 22, 2017, from 1-4 pm, at Country Meadows, 4905 E Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg. The service will begin at 1 pm with Pastor Martin Romaine officiating and will be followed by refreshments in the third floor Bistro of buildings 4 & 5. Following refreshments, Blues/Jazz/R&B/Classics Soloist, Amy Shaffer-House of Vocals , will perform in the large dining room on the first floor of building 5.
