Jane Louise Westhafer Reese

Jane was born in New Cumberland, PA living most of her 96 years there. She was the daughter of Raymond E. “Westie” Westhafer and Esther Bowers Westhafer.

Jane was predeceased by her parents; her sister, E. Lorraine “Rain” Gross; her son, Joseph P. Reese; and her husband, Paul G. Reese. Surviving are her two daughters, Susan J. Gray (William) and Virginia L. Reed (Ronald); seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Jane was a registered nurse, graduating from the Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital’s Nursing School in the early 1940’s. Jane was a life member of First Church of God, New Cumberland.

New Cumberland Golden Age and New Cumberland Olde Towne Assn are two of the organizations that she belonged to.

Jane especially enjoyed her weeks spent at Camp YoliJwa as a camp nurse and later as a senior camper. She looked forward to wonderful times spent with friends at camp.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
