Jean Velma Hitesman, 94, of Camp Hill, passed away March 9, 2025, at the Garden's at Camp Hill. She was born on April 30, 1930, in Collomsville, PA to the late Walter William and Hazel Margarette (Confer) VonNeeda. Jean was an active and cherished member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, where she shared her warmth and generosity by sending birthday and get-well cards to fellow parishioners. Her commitment to her faith was further demonstrated through her involvement with the church's Prayer Team, where she brought comfort and support to those in need.
A passionate card player and bowler, Jean filled her life with joy and enthusiasm, always finding ways to uplift others. Her most cherished role, however, was that of a grandmother. She found great delight in giving thoughtful gifts that brought smiles to the faces of her grandchildren-Jason, David, Kelsie, Meagan, Mason, Skylar, and Nicolas. Her love for family was boundless, and her legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she touched.
Jean is survived by her 4 children, Ned (Beth) Hitesman, Scott (Karen) Hitesman, Kirk Hitesman, and Michael (Donna) Hitesman; 7 grandchildren, Jason, David, Kelsie, Meagan, Mason, Skylar, and Nicholas; 7 Great Grandchildren, Joshua, Aidan, David Jr., Mateo, Connell, Micha, and Payton; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, Dahlia "Dolly" and Beckham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of 56 years, Phillip F. Hitesman
A memorial service will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Camp Hill with Pastor John H. Brock officiating. She will join her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
