Jean M. Taylor, 93, of Messiah Lifeways, a longtime resident of New Cumberland died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Messiah.  

Born July 1, 1930 in Ringtown, PA to the late Lester N. and Hannah (Peifer) Fetterman, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Alice Fetterman at age four, and daughter, Judy Hawley.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 72 years, Kenneth (Ken) B. Taylor; son, Michael A. Taylor (Stephanie) of Mechanicsburg; son-in-law, Kenneth M. Hawley of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Kimberly, Steven, Ariana, and Celeste; and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Ryan, Anna, Luke, and Grace.  

Jean was a homemaker, an 80-year member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, and a 1948 graduate of the former New Cumberland High School. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, crafts, and especially being a “Snowbird.”  She and Ken spent the past 25 plus years wintering at their Lakeland, FL home.

Visitation will be from 10am until memorial services at 11am Wednesday, February 14, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge St., New Cumberland.  Private inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070 or Messiah Lifeways Endowment Fund, 100 Mt. Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
