Jeanne Marie Kerr, 67, of New Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired Systems Engineer and Blue Cross – California Account Manager with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), later Hewlett Packard, Camp Hill. She was also previously Resource Manager for healthcare claims for the Eastern United States at EDS. Jeanne was a graduate of Butler Area Senior High School; attended Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, where she majored in biology and where she was a phlebotomist for three of those years with Mercy Hospital. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland since 1983. She was a dignified and classy woman whose greatest joy in life was caring for and loving her grandchildren.
Jeanne was born in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Salvatore and Louise (Dell’Otto) Spagnola.
She is survived by her husband of more than 45 years, John M. Kerr; her children, Samuel James Kerr, MD and wife Kimberly of Lancaster, Louisa Jean Clinkscale and husband Adam A., Sr. of New Cumberland and John Michael Kerr, II of New Cumberland; her sister Mary Louise Spagnola of Kittanning, PA; and six grandchildren, Jeanne Marie Clinkscale, Adam Alvester Clinkscale, Jr., Jonah Samuel Kerr, Isaac Julian Kerr, Oscar John Kerr and Jude Richard Kerr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland with the Rev. Samuel Dubois as Celebrant. Please meet at church for Mass. Viewing will be from 6-8 pm Monday evening in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with a Scripture Service at 7:30. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
