Jeffery L. Umphred

Jeffery L. Umphred, 59, of York Haven, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Derry Twp.
He was a transmission specialist and enjoyed deer hunting until more recent years when his interests in deer were feeding and watching them. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. One thing he looked forward to each year was the annual Easter egg hunt with his grandchildren.
Jeff was born in Goldsboro to the late Robert and Esther (Krone) Umphred. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Bobby.
He is survived by his wife Linda L. (Moyer) Umphred; his son Ryan H. Umphred of Enola; step son John Petrucci of Etters; step daughter Tina Petrucci of Steelton; brothers, Lonnie of York Haven and Larry of Dover; sister Wanda Paige of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Karisa, Dayne, Kayla and Darrin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry.
