Jill C. Shaffer

Jill C. Shaffer, 64, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

She retired as a Medicare Policy Analyst for Highmark Blue Shield, Camp Hill; a member of VFW Post 7415 Auxiliary, New Cumberland; American Legion Post 974 Auxiliary, Fairview Twp. Jill was a very active and passionate volunteer with different local veteran's organizations and organized food fundraisers for local animal shelters. She will be remembered by her stories, sense of humor and large heart. Born on January 24, 1954, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Betty Shearer (Paul) of Carlisle and the late Robert B. Murray. She was the widow of Donald K. Shaffer.

In addition to her mother and step-father, she is survived by a sister, Jan C. Brymesser (Dennis R.) of Boiling Springs; a step-sister, Blanche Thompson (Tyke) of Mechanicsburg; a nephew Jared C. Brymesser of Boiling Springs.

A visitation will be held 1 – 2 PM on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with a memorial service following at 2PM. Burial in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp. will be held at the convenience of the family.
