Jo Anne Taylor

Jo Anne Taylor, 75 of New Cumberland and recently of Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg, died Friday, January 6, 2017 at PinnacleHealth Harrisburg Hospital.

She was born on March 30, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the daughter of Joseph and Marjorie (Williams) Courtney. She was the widow of Leslie H. Taylor, Sr. Surviving are three sons, Leslie H. Jr. and Laurence V., both of New Cumberland, and Terry N. of Harrisburg; she has a grandson Ashton, son of Laurence.

She retired as an Administrative Officer after 23 years from the Penn State University, Hershey Medical Center. Earlier in her life she was a flight attendant for United Airlines and after retiring she spent several years working as a Caregiver for the elderly, which she greatly enjoyed. She was a member of Zonta International and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 143, New Cumberland.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 12th at Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg, Building 5, 4905 East Trindle Road. There will be no visitation and the funeral service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
