JoAnn Rife, 87, of Lemoyne died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a retired Data Processor from PSEA, Harrisburg. She was an active member of Christian Life Assembly and Camp Hill Civic Club. She enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family.
JoAnn will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God and positive outlook on life. She was genuine and kind, but also had an inspiring fighting spirit. She was always grateful, loving and known for her good heart. The simple things in her life gave her the greatest pleasures as her love for ice cream, chocolate and peanut butter are legendary. Loving her was easy because she herself was so full of love. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
She was born October 30, 1930 in Lemoyne to the late Vernon A. and Ruth E. (Reeder) Wertz. She was the widow of William P. Rife.
She is survived by a son, Gary L. Rife (Michelle) of Ickesburg; daughter, Cathy J. Lauver (Terry) of Roanoke, VA; daughter-in-law, Christine Rife of Mechanicsburg; sister, Nellie E. Perrault of Walpole, MA; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Kevin, Travis, and Chelsea.
Viewing will be from 10am until the funeral service at 11am Monday at Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Rd, Camp Hill. Interment will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery.
