JoAnne P. Ross

JoAnne P. Ross, 72, of Mechanicsburg died Monday, April 15, 2024 at UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.

She was an Analyst for Giant Food Stores, a subsidiary of Ahold Corp, Carlisle, PA.  She was a graduate of the University of Delaware majoring in Art.  She was the beloved Mom to her Yorkie, JJ.

Joanne had a long career history with department stores that included Pomeroy’s and Gimbels.  She also worked for CSI, Concepts Systems International, which was headquartered in Philadelphia which specialized in retail planning and implementation.  She was also the co-founder of Merton Associates that was contracted by the Uniform Code Council that helped establish standards for product identification for goods manufactured by companies and industries. 

JoAnne was born February 28, 1952 in British Columbia, Canada.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Reitz  & JJ (their Yorkie),  loving in-laws Earl & Margaret Reitz of Mechanicsburg. Also survived by her brother-in-law(s), Earl Reitz Jr (Cindy) of Boiling Springs, Timothy Reitz (Diane) of New Cumberland and sister-in-law, Tina Lee of Camp Hill. She is also survived by several nephews, Michael, Tyler and Derek and a niece, McKenna; along with a great-nephew, Colton. 

A Celebration of JoAnne’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
