John A. Plesic

John A. Plesic, 89, of Mechanicsburg, died Thursday, January 23, 2020.

A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, John was a retired CPA from Brown, Schultz, Sheridan & Fritz and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. He was past president of West Shore Chamber of Commerce and West Shore County Club. John was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and St. Francis College, Loretto, PA, where he obtained his B.S. in Accounting and played football for the Red Flash.

John was born January 25, 1930 in Bressler to the late Anton and Mary (Matetich) Plesic. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Plesic and Elizabeth Bartlett; brothers, Tony, Edward, Robert and Richard and sisters, Mary Staub and Catherine Hauck.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice M. (Keane) Plesic; daughter, Mary F. Sauers (Frederick) of Mechanicsburg; son, John E. Plesic (Linda) of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Lauren Metzger (David), Sarah Werner (Marc), Joe Plesic and Theresa Sauers, as well as three great-granddaughters, Natalie and Audrey Metzger and Hannah Werner.

Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
