John E. Schreffler

John E. Schreffler, 69 of Lewisberry died Friday March 11, 2016 at Harrisburg Hospital.
An Army veteran of Vietnam, he was a retired Preparator from the State Museum of Pennsylvania and also served as Exhibits Director for PNG Military Museum, Ft. Indiantown Gap. He was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid collector of military memorabilia and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Jack.
He was born November 15, 1946 in Harrisburg to Sara (Klinger) Schreffler and the late George Schreffler.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Mary Clair (Motter) Schreffler; son, Jonathan M. (Becky) of York Haven; brother George of Linglestown, and three grandchildren, Jack, Kylie, and Hailey.
Viewing will be from 10 until funeral services at 11am Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will follow in Tri-County Memorial Garden, Fairview Twp.
Memorial contributions are requested to be given to the family to assist with final expenses.
