John H. Staul, Jr., 79, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, died Tuesday, August 07, 2018, at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital after an extended illness.
John worked in the retail grocery business for over 50 years as an owner of the New Wilmington Food Center, supervisor at Golden Dawn and A&P. Grandkids and family ALWAYS came first including watching and supporting many of their sporting events. John was a sports enthusiast including playing softball, going to the horse races, and an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. John was also a valued supporter of New Wilmington High School and Westminster College athletics. He had an outward kindness that was felt by all and a deep faith in God and loved attending Sunday School. Born on July 23, 1939, in Farrell, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John H., Sr. and Millie (Cara) Staul and was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Staul.
Surviving are his wife of (57) years, Nancy L. (Papale) Staul; two daughters, Mary Lou Miller (Stevie), of Jacksonville, FL, and Denise Staul of Sausalito, CA; a son, John Patrick Staul (Liz), of Camp Hill; a brother, Dennis R. Staul (Andrea) of (Sharon, PA); a sister-in-law, Rita Staul, (Yorktown, VA); three grandchildren, Patrick, Case and Jack; Two nieces, Cara and Wendy; two nephews, AJ and Brent.
Memorial services will be held at Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 on Monday August 13th reception at 10am with service following at 11 and luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission 10 and can be sent to Christian Life Assembly at the above address.
